Yes, in Thailand too. What's even more interesting in this case is the fact that it's a taxi.

As I mentioned before, here are the pictures from the traditional style barbque. This was all set up in the front yard area of the house. First, get your natural chunk charcoal good and ready in the clay pot.

Keepin' Cool
Keepin' Cool
Like Doha as a problem with Cats everywhere, Bangkok has a problem with dogs. Recently they've stabilized the population with a neutering program for the stray dogs, which otherwise would be more than self-sustaining by themselves. People tend to feed them anyway, so they're fat. And they know how to keep cool. At night, you can see them chilling just about anywhere.

You can see the Chinese heritage here. This was again in the interior of Chinatown, so it was pretty dark. I got permission, took the picture, and was gone in less than ten seconds. In retrospect I considered that maybe I should have tried to converse, but it probably wouldn't have done any good.

Pig's Blood Soup
This and the following few pictures are all in Chiang Mai and area. The liver-looking bits are the gelatinous pig's blood, and the other meaty bits are various entrails. It was OK, but I wouldn't go out of my way to have it again.

The flavor was really very good, but hard to describe. The most memorable thing was the richness of the aftertaste. On the right is the interior, the edible part. The spiky stuff on the left is the fruit in situ.

It was seriously curvy. Think CA1 for the curvy bits. Here we're inside one of the minibuses, which we were sharing with several people. Basically, you wait until you have enough people that the driver feels it's worth his while to go on the trip.
